Former Indian cricketer and head coach Ravi Shastri took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a picture with a legendary former Formula 1 racer. Shastri posted a picture with Mikka Hakkinen, a former Finnish motorsports racing driver, on Monday (January 13).
Ravi Shastri wrote in his post that it was great catching up with Hakkinen, aka the Flying Finn. He also mentioned about the former racer being a two-time champion with McLaren.
Mikka Hakkinen won two Formula One World Drivers' Championship titles. His first win came in 1998 while his second came the very next year in 1999. Both his championship titles came with McLaren. He also won 20 Grands Prix across 11 seasons.
"Great catching up with Mikka Häkkinen, aka The Flying Finn! 🏎️ A two-time Champion in the Michael Schumacher era – 1998 & 1999 with McLaren. Say no more! #F1 #FlyingFinn #Hakkinen," Ravi Shastri captioned his post.

Ravi Shastri's successful tenure as India's head coach
Soon after India's tough 3-1 loss in the Border Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2024-25 series in Australia, comparisons have risen between Gautam Gambhir and former head coach Ravi Shastri.
Looking at Shastri's record, he served as India's head coach from 2017 to 2021. Under him, India won 25 out of their 43 Tests, which is a winning percentage of 58.13, even better than that of Gary Kirsten's 48.48 (for India).
Under Ravi, India also won their maiden Test series in Australia during the 2018-19 tour. Moreover, they won yet another series down under in 2020-21, becoming the first Asian team to win back-to-back Test series in Australia.
India also reached the final of the first edition of the World Test Championship (WTC) in 2021 before Shastri left. The Men in Blue also made it to the semi-final of the ICC ODI World Cup in 2019. Unfortunately, they lost on both these occasions to New Zealand.
