Young all-rounder Nitish Reddy thanked his India teammate Mohammed Siraj on social media following his maiden century on Day 3 of the Boxing Day Test against Australia in Melbourne. Notably, Siraj survived three balls when Reddy was on 99 at the non-striker’s end with only one wicket in hand.

Siraj faced the last three balls after vice-captain Jasprit Bumrah perished in the same over to Pat Cummins off the third delivery. The Hyderabad-born cricketer will now look to take some confidence in the second innings against Australia after returning wicketless in the first essay.

Sharing a hilarious post on his Instagram story, Reddy wrote:

“I also believe in Siraj bhai! @mohammedsirajofficial”
