Indian cricketer Mayank Agarwal took to social media on Thursday, January 9, to share a heartfelt birthday message for his wife, Aashita Sood. Mayank and Aashita got engaged in January 2018 and married later that year on June 4. Meanwhile, the couple welcomed their first child, Ayaansh, on December 8, 2022.

On Thursday, to celebrate Aashita's birthday, the Karnataka cricketer took to Instagram to post some pictures with the caption:

“Happy Birthday Aashi. Continue to spread your infectious laughter and happiness.”

On the cricketing front, Mayank has been leading Karnataka in the ongoing 2024-25 Vijay Hazare Trophy. The 33-year-old has been in excellent form, currently being the highest run-scorer in the tournament. After scoring 65 runs in the first two games, he has been on fire, posting an unbeaten 139 and 100 against Punjab and Arunachal Pradesh, respectively.

Mayank then completed a remarkable hat-trick of centuries with 124 runs against Hyderabad, followed by a solid 69 against Saurashtra. He finished the group stage with an unbeaten 116 runs against Nagaland. Mayank has accumulated 613 runs at an average of 153.25 in seven matches, including four centuries and one fifty.

Karnataka finished at the top of Group C with 24 points, winning six out of their seven matches. Mayank’s team will now take on Baroda in the quarterfinals on January 11.

Mayank Agarwal has represented India in 26 games

The Karnataka cricketer made his international debut for India in the Boxing Day Test against Australia in 2018 in Melbourne. Mayank was impressive on his debut, returning with scores of 76 and 42. The right-handed batter has since represented India in 21 Tests, amassing 1,488 runs at an average of 41.33, including six fifties and four centuries.

His most recent Test appearance came in 2022 against Sri Lanka. Additionally, he has played in five ODIs, scoring 86 runs.
