Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant took to social media on Wednesday, November 20, to share some pictures following a workout session with his teammates. The southpaw will be in action when India face Australia in the first Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, starting November 22 in Perth.

The 27-year-old has done well since his return to Test cricket earlier this year. In 2024, he has played five Tests, amassing 422 runs at an average of 46.88 with three fifties and one hundred.

As the explosive batter prepares for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, he took to X on Wednesday to share photos with his teammates after a gym session. The pictures included spin duo Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja, along with Harshit Rana, Mohammed Siraj, Akash Deep, and Abhimanyu Easwaran.

He captioned the post:

"Mid week energy."

Pant has a solid record in Australia, having scored 624 runs in seven matches at an average of 62.40, including two fifties and a century.

“He should get 25-30 crore, whatever he deserves” - Suresh Raina shares his prediction for Rishabh Pant in IPL 2025 auction

Alongside the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, attention will also turn to the IPL 2025 mega auction, scheduled for November 24 and 25. In a surprising move, Delhi Capitals and Rishabh Pant have parted ways, meaning the explosive batter will now go under the hammer.

Former cricketer Suresh Raina, speaking to TOI, predicted that Pant would command a significant amount in the auction, given his value as a captain, wicketkeeper, and versatile batter. He said:

"We should really look at this as an opportunity. If you see the Australian players, they are getting paid (big money). Then why not our players! He (Pant) is a captain, gun player, gun wicket-keeper. If you look at his brand value, he is good for endorsement, so he should get (the money) as well -- Rs. 25-30 crore, whatever he deserves."

The 27-year-old boasts an impressive IPL record, having scored 3,284 runs in 111 matches, with 18 half-centuries and one century.
