[In Pictures] MS Dhoni poses with Bollywood actress during Christmas celebrations

Former India captain MS Dhoni posed with Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon during Christmas celebrations, presumably at his house. Sanon shared pictures of the event, one of which saw Dhoni posing with her, on the social media platform Instagram on Wednesday, December 25.

Having retired from the international level in 2019, Dhoni continues to play in franchise cricket. He will next be in action for Chennai Super Kings in the 2025 edition of the Indian Premier League. Dhoni was retained by the franchise ahead of the mega-auction held in November this year.

The 43-year-old is India's most successful captain, having won the ODI and T20I World Cups as well as an ICC Champions Trophy title. He is known for his calm and composed nature on the field of play and for making decisions that many consider to be left-field or out of the box.

Dhoni also led CSK to five IPL titles, the last of which came in 2023. The Jharkhand wicketkeeper-batter also skippered the Chennai-based franchise to two Champions League T20 titles in 2010 and 2014. He has also been awarded the Padma Bhushan, which is India's third-highest civilian award.

MS Dhoni made his debut for India in 2004

Born in Ranchi on July 7, 1981, Dhoni made his international debut for India in an ODI against Bangladesh in 2004. While his first Test came a year later against Sri Lanka in Chennai, Dhoni made his foray in the shortest format of the game in 2006 against South Africa in Johannesburg.

Dhoni scored 4,876 runs in the 90 Tests he played at an average of 38, including six centuries and 33 half-centuries. In ODIs, he scored 10,773 runs at an average of 50.57 including ten centuries and 73 half-centuries.

In 98 T20Is, he scored 1,617 runs at a strike rate of 126.13. Dhoni took 256, 321 and 57 catches in Tests, ODIs and T20Is respectively, along with 38, 123 and 34 stumpings.
