New Zealand cricket team's rising star, Rachin Ravindra paid a visit to the famous Blades of Glory Museum in Pune ahead of the all-important second Test against India. The game is set to begin on Thursday, October 24, at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.
During a break from the team's practice sessions, Rachin Ravindra decided to explore the famous cricket museum, where he posed with Sachin Tendulkar's memorabilia, Virat Kohli's bat and MS Dhoni's India jersey.
The museum's official X handle shared four photos from Ravindra's visit with the caption:
"Such a pleasure hosting @RachinnRavindra at the museum yesterday. It was heartwarming to see him explore Sachin Tendulkar's memorabilia and admire Virat Kohli's bat. His genuine respect for the legends who paved the way was truly special."
New Zealand will hope the left-handed batter can maintain his form as they look to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series. They won the first Test in Bengaluru handsomely by eight wickets.
Can Rachin Ravindra help New Zealand register a historic Test series win?
New Zealand are on the cusp of a historic Test series win on Indian soil. With a 1-0 lead in their bag, a win in the Pune Test will see them seal their first-ever series in the longest format in India.
Rachin Ravindra was the hero for New Zealand in the first Test. He scored a magnificent century (134) in the first innings, which helped his team take a giant lead. He returned in the second innings to steady the sip after a rocky start, scoring 39 to take the visitors home.
The Kiwi fans will expect Ravindra to continue in the same vein and produce another match-winning performance against India in Pune. The Men in Blue, meanwhile will hope to make it all square in the series ahead of the third Test in Mumbai.
