Team India batter Shubman Gill recently posed for a couple of pictures in scenic locations in Miami. He is currently in the USA as a part of the Indian contingent, which is participating in the ongoing 2024 T20 World Cup. Gill is not in the main 15-man squad but is one of the four traveling reserves. Rinku Singh, Avesh Khan, and Khaleel Ahmed are the other reserve players.
Led by Rohit Sharma, India have registered three consecutive wins against Ireland, Pakistan, and the USA in the group stage and have already qualified for the Super 8 phase. After playing the first three games in New York, the players recently traveled to Miami for their final group match against Canada, scheduled to take place on Saturday.
Shubman Gill took to his official Instagram handle and shared a couple of pictures to give fans a glimpse of his tour around Miami. He captioned the post:

Shubman Gill and Avesh Khan to return to India after group stage of 2024 T20 World Cup- Reports
According to reports, Shubman Gill and Avesh Khan will return to India after the last group match against Canada in Florida. It is the last match for India in the USA, as they will play their remaining games of the tournament in the West Indies.
Fortunately, there haven't been any injury concerns in the team camp so far, which seemingly influenced the management's decision to release the two reserve players. Rinku Singh and Khaleel Ahmed will continue to remain with the squad as traveling reserves in case of an emergency.
Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag recently gave his opinion on Shubman Gill's presence in the reserve list ahead of the likes of KL Rahul and Ruturaj Gaikwad. Speaking to Cricbuzz, he said:
"I think he's lucky that his name is in the T20 World Cup reserves. KL Rahul and Ruturaj Gaikwad are not even in that. That's a good point and he should be motivated by that. Next time, he should not let his place go once he gets a chance. He should focus on scoring runs at a good strike rate so he doesn't get replaced."
