India’s T20I captain, Suryakumar Yadav's wife, Devisha Shetty, shared an adorable response to her husband's post on social media on Tuesday, December 24. Suryakumar was recently in action for Mumbai in the ongoing 2024-25 Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Mumbai suffered a seven-wicket loss to Karnataka on December 21, with Suryakumar contributing 20 runs in the match. Although Mumbai bounced back to win their second game against Hyderabad, Suryakumar didn’t have the best outing, managing just 18 runs.
Amid all of this, the 34-year-old took to Instagram to share a couple of pictures featuring his wife from a Manish Malhotra photoshoot.
He captioned it:
"Best dress up partner"
Reacting to the post, Devisha commented:
“Ishq hai.”
The right-handed batter will be back in action when Mumbai take on Arunachal Pradesh in their Round 3 match of Group C in the Vijay Hazare Trophy on Thursday, December 26.
Suryakumar Yadav recently won the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024 with Mumbai
Suryakumar Yadav missed the first few rounds of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) 2024 due to personal reasons before joining the team for the latter stages of the tournament. The explosive batter played five matches, accumulating 132 runs, including a half-century.
Suryakumar also played a pivotal role in the final against Madhya Pradesh. Chasing 175, the 34-year-old top-scored for Mumbai with 48 runs off 35 balls. Towards the end, Suryansh Shedge played a brilliant cameo, remaining unbeaten on 36 off 15 balls to guide Mumbai to a five-wicket victory with 13 balls to spare, securing their second SMAT title.
On the international stage, Suryakumar captained India to a commanding 3-1 victory in the four-match T20I series against South Africa in early November. As captain, he boasts an impressive record in T20Is, with 14 wins and only three losses. With the bat, Suryakumar has scored 2,570 runs in 78 matches at an average of 40.79, including 21 fifties and four centuries.
