IPL 2024 Points Table: Updated standings after LSG vs RR match

Rajasthan Royals maintained their lead at the top of the IPL 2024 points table with a seven-wicket victory against Lucknow Super Giants on Saturday, April 27. The Jaipur-based franchise chased down a 197-run target at the Bharat Ratna Shree Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium. As a result, they took their tally to 16 points this season.

The Royals have played nine matches, registering eight victories and just one loss. Their net run rate stands at +0.694, declining slightly from +0.698 after the match against the Lucknow Super Giants.

Meanwhile, LSG continue to be fourth in the IPL 2024 points table. The Super Giants suffered their fourth defeat in nine matches, and their net run rate has gone down from +0.148 to +0.059.

Before the LSG vs RR match tonight, Delhi Capitals defeated Mumbai Indians by 10 runs at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Courtesy of the victory, the Capitals have jumped to the fifth position in the IPL 2024 points table. They have 10 points from 10 matches.

On the other side, Mumbai Indians continue to be ninth with just six points from nine games. It seems unlikely that the Mumbai-based franchise will make it to the next round in IPL 2024.

Gujarat Titans have a chance to move up in IPL 2024 points table tomorrow

Former champions Gujarat Titans are currently seventh in the IPL points table with eight points from nine matches. Due to their inferior net run rate, the Titans may stay outside the Top 4 even if they beat Royal Challengers Bengaluru tomorrow afternoon.

However, a lopsided victory can help the Titans enter the Top 4 because the second-placed Kolkata Knight Riders also have 10 points only. RCB have a chance to push the Mumbai Indians down to the last position. They can do so by continuing their momentum against Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium tomorrow.
