Yashasvi Jaiswal returned to form in IPL 2024 with a magnificent century against the Mumbai Indians on Monday night. The Rajasthan Royals opener remained unbeaten on 104 off 60 to help his team chase down a 180-run target at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium.

Jaiswal was in fantastic touch in the ICC World Test Championship series against England before the IPL, but he didn't start in the same vein for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2024. He managed only 121 runs in the first half of the tournament as fans raised doubts over his selection in India's T20 World Cup 2024 squad.

However, Jaiswal silenced his critics with a match-winning century for the Rajasthan Royals. The left-hander hit nine fours and seven maximums against a star-studded Mumbai Indians bowling line-up to guide the Jaipur-based franchise to a nine-wicket victory.

As mentioned earlier, Jaiswal has two IPL centuries to his name following his effort against five-time champions MI on Monday.

Incidentally, his first IPL ton also came against the Mumbai Indians. It was in IPL 2023 at the Wankhede. RR batted first in that game as Jaiswal's century helped them reach 212-7 in their allotted 20 overs.

However, a brilliant batting performance from Tim David, Suryakumar Yadav and Cameron Green helped Mumbai Indians chase down the 213-run target in what was a rousing chase.

Luckily, for Jaiswal, his second IPL ton helped his side register a win. The youngster will look forward to continuing his top form in the upcoming IPL 2024 games.
