Kerala Cricket League 2024 Most Runs and Most Wickets after Calicut Globstars vs Trivandrum Royals (Updated) ft. Salman Nizar & Sharafuddeen NM

The Kerala Cricket League saw two games take place on Friday (September 6) at Thiruvananthapuram. In the first game, Aries Kollam Sailors prevailed by eight wickets over Alleppey Royals, while Trivandrum Royals won by five wickets against Calicut Globstars.

Batting first, the Alleppey Royals were bundled out for 95, with skipper Mohammed Azharuddeen (29) top-scoring for the side. Sharafuddeen NM was the pick of the bowlers, with four scalps. In response, skipper Sachin Baby (40*) led the charge for the Sailors as they chased down the target under 14 overs.

In the second game, the Globstars set a 144-run total, courtesy of Salman Nizar’s unbeaten 72-run knock of 48 balls. Sreehari Nair picked two wickets.

Thereafter, Trivandrum Royals' Riya Basheer (38) and Govind Pai (35) laid a stable platform for the side, while skipper Abdul Basith (50*) impressed with his quickfire knock to complete the chase with 11 balls to spare.

Mohammed Azharuddeen climbed to the top spot in the batting charts with his 26-run knock on Friday. He has scored 149 runs in four innings at a strike rate of over 150. With his terrific knock today, Salman Nizar is now the second-best batter with 145 runs in three innings at an average of 72.50.

Jobin Joby descended from the top spot to third with 143 runs to his name in three games.

Abhishek J Nair slid to fourth place with 136 runs in three appearances. With an impressive half-century on Friday, Abdul Basith rose from eighth to fifth spot with 125 runs in five appearances.

Akshay Manohar is sixth with 95 runs in three outings, with a top score of 57. Govind Pai (87), Akshay T K (86), MS Akhil (83) and Vishnu Vinod (79) round off the top 10 batters list.

Basil Thampi is still the top bowler of the tournament with nine scalps in three games at an average of 8.78. With four wickets today, Sharafuddeen NM climbed to the second spot with a total of seven wickets in three games.

Anand Joseph and Fazil Fanoos slid one place each to take third and fourth place, respectively, with seven wickets.

NP Basil, Biju Narayanan and Akhil Scaria take the subsequent positions with six wickets each. Notably, Basil and Narayanan played for the Sailors and took two and three wickets, respectively, on Friday. Meanwhile, Scaria added a solitary wicket to his tally on Friday.

Jerin PS and Abdul Basith are eighth and ninth with five wickets each, respectively, while Imran Ahammed is 10th with four wickets.
