Lanka Premier League 2024 Top run-getters and wicket-takers after Colombo Strikers vs Kandy Falcons (Updated) ft. Alex Hales and Dunith Wellalage

Jaffna Kings took on Galle Marvels in the second match of the Lanka Premier League and elected to bat after winning the toss. Avishka Fernando and Pathum Nissanka scored half centuries. It helped the Kings to 177-7. Zahoor Khan took three wickets for 34 runs in four overs for the Marvels.

Alex Hales scored 65 off 47. He helped the Marvels reach their target on the last delivery of their innings, losing five wickets. Hales won the Player of the Match for his innings. Asitha Fernando and Fabian Allen took two wickets each for the Kings.

Meanwhile, B-Love Kandy won the toss against Colombo Strikers in the third match and elected to bowl first. Sadeera Samarawickrama scored 48 off 26 and was the highest scorer for Colombo.

Muhammad Waseem and Thisara Perera scored 30-plus runs each. Colombo made 198-7. Kasun Rajitha and Wanindu Hasaranga took two wickets each for Kandy.

Kandy were bundled out for 147 in 15.5 overs in response. Only four batters managed double-digit scores. Dunith Wellalage and Shadab Khan were the most successful bowlers for Colombo, while Shadab won the Player of the Match award.

Dunith Wellalage took four wickets for 20 runs in his first outing and jumped to first position. Shadab Khan finished with four wickets for 22 runs in four overs on Tuesday to move to second place.

Dasun Shanka slipped to third from first with three wickets for 20 runs in his first match of the season. Zahoor Khan jumped to fourth with three wickets for 34 runs in four overs in the first game.

Meanwhile, Dwaine Pretorious jumped to fifth with two wickets for 23 runs in the first match for Galle.
