Lucknow rain prediction today: What are the chances of rain during the LSG vs CSK match in IPL 2024?

The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will host the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in a high-profile Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 clash at the Ekana Cricket Stadium on Friday, April 19.

LSG have had a mixed campaign this season. They have won and lost three games apiece and currently occupy the fifth spot in the points table. With two defeats in their last two games, the Super Giants will be desperate to bounce back.

Defending champions CSK, on the other hand, lost the plot after two wins to start their IPL 2024 campaign. However, as all champion teams do, they have bounced back and have won their last two fixtures to sit third in the standings after the Rajasthan Royals and the Kolkata Knight Riders. They have eight points from six games under their belt.

Both teams will be playing for the two points available and fans are expected to flock to the stadium in huge numbers. Much to their delight, there is no chance of rainfall in and around the stadium on Friday night. There will be some intermittent clouds at the start of the game but will clear out as the match starts at 7:30 pm IST.

The temperature will hover around 35 degrees Celsius, while the humidity levels will be lower.

"We can show a little bit more intent" - LSG's assistant coach Lance Klusener on his side's batting

Barring a few occasions, the Super Giants batters have failed to give a good account of themselves in IPL 2024 so far. It has also led to their downfall in the games they lost.

LSG's assistant coach Lance Klusener insisted that batters can show a little more intent and bravery in their next set of games.

"To be honest, I think we can show a little bit more intent," Klusener told reporters. "It's something we've spoken about a lot this week. We want to show a lot more bravery. We want to show a lot more trust in our own abilities. Because if you look around the country, there's some big scores that are going on."

"I think the way that we've been playing needs to adapt because if we want to win this competition, we're going to need to be braver with the bat," he added.
