Maharashtra Premier League 2024 Points Table: Updated Standing after Kolhapur Tuskers vs Chhatrapati Sambhaji Kings, Match 26

The Maharashtra Premier League 2024 saw a double-header take place at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on Sunday. The Eagle Nashik Titans emerged victorious by 21 runs in the 25th match of the tournament against Ratnagiri Jets.

The Titans have moved to the fourth spot with five wins in nine matches, and, overall, 10 points. Ratnagiri Jets, on the other hand, sit at the top of the ladder, despite the loss. Jets too have five wins in nine games, accumulating 10 points.

Meanwhile, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Kings suffered a 7-wicket defeat at the hands of Kolhapur Tuskers on Sunday. The Kings find themselves at third on the table with five wins in nine matches. Kolhapur Tuskers, on the other hand, are at second spot with five wins in nine appearances.

Solapur Royals and Puneri Bappa are occupying the bottom two spots with four and two wins, respectively.

Eagles Nashik Titans beat Ratnagiri Jets by 21 runs; Kolhapur Tuskers pick up fifth win

The 25th match of the tournament was played between Eagle Nashik Titans and Ratnagiri Jets on Sunday. The Titans notched a formidable score of 208 runs in the first innings, courtesy of sensational knocks from Atharve Kale (65 off 33) and Arshin Kulkarni (51 off 39).

In pursuit of the target, Ratnagiri Jets lost both their openers for naught. Divyang Hinganekar raised some hopes with a 32-run knock off 28 balls. However, wickets kept falling at the other end. Sahil Churi, later, entertained the fans with a rollicking 53 off 16 but his team fell 21 runs short of the target in the end.

In the second match of the day, Kolhapur Tuskers locked horns with Chhatrapati Sambhaji Kings. Atharva Dakway led the charge with the ball as he picked up four wickets for just 10 runs in four overs.

His spell helped Tuskers bundle out Chhatrapati Sambhaji Kings for just 126 runs in the first innings. Kolhapur Tuskers’ batting unit fired in unison as they chased down the target in just 12.4 overs.

Ankit Bawne provided a brilliant start with a 39-run knock off 26 balls. Siddharth Mhatre, on the other hand, guided the team home with an unbeaten knock of 34 off 13 deliveries.
