Major Clubs Limited Over Tournament 2024: Most runs and Most wickets after Burgher vs Badureliya Sports Club (Updated) ft. Ron Chandraguptha

The 42nd match of the 2024 Major Clubs Limited Over Tournament saw Sinhalese win over the Chilaw Marians Cricket Club by six wickets and a massive margin of 162 deliveries at the Sinhalese Sports Club Ground, Colombo.

Bowling contributions from Sinhalese bowlers Kavindu Nadeeshan (4/25) and Gishan Balasooriya (3/35) helped them restrict the Marians for 146 runs while Shevon Daniel (39 off 26) and Krishan Sanjula (37 off 45) chased the target with complete ease.

Nondescripts sneaked in a 5-run win over Ragama in the second game of the day and 43rd match of the tournament. Lahiru Udara of the Nondescripts Cricket Club top scored in the game with a 76-ball 79, while Ragama bowler Eshan Malinga took a wicket for his side.

Meanwhile, Bloomfield successfully chased down a target of 244 runs against the Tamil Union in the 44th match of the season, winning the game by eight wickets. Bloomfield players Sachitha Jayatilake (3/27) and Ron Chandraguptha (141* off 126) were the top performers in this game.

Panadura defended a total of 210 runs against Negombo in the 45th game of the season and the fourth match of the day, winning the game by 59 runs. Kanchana de Livera (70 off 81) was the top scorer for Pandura, while Vishwa Lahiru (3/35) scalped the most wickets for them.

Nugegoda defeated the Colts in the 46th match this season. Nugegoda registered a 33-run victory, with opener Pulindu Perera (111 off 111) top-scoring for them.

Burgher absolutely steamrolled over the Badureliya Sports Club, establishing a five-wicket win with a massive 154 balls to spare. The bowling duo of Dushan Hemantha (5/30) and Murvin Abinash (4/26) wreaked havoc among the Badureliya batting lineup while Burgher opener Ravija Sandaruwan (62 off 48) ensured that his side chased down their required target of 134 runs seamlessly.

Nishan Madushanka of the Colombo Cricket Club continues to top the highest run-getters list of the 2024 Major Clubs Limited Over Tournament. Madushanka has scored 318 runs across six innings with 35 boundaries and 15 sixes to his name.

Bloomfield batter Ron Chandraguptha is second on the list with 256 runs to his name and a scintillating high score of 141*, which he scored against the Tamil Union today. Yashodha Lanka of the Colts Cricket Club occupies the third spot on the leaderboard with 244 runs to his name in five innings. Lahiru Udara too has scored 244 runs this season, and he sees himself in the fourth position.

Three more batters have crossed the 200-run mark this season, namely Janishka Perera (231), Sandun Weerakkody (211), and Thanuka Dabare (204). They occupy the fifth, sixth, and seventh positions, respectively.

Kevin Perera, Ranmith Jayasena, and Pasindu Sooriyabandara round off the top 10 list. With totals of 192,178 and 175 runs, respectively, they occupy the eighth, ninth, and tenth positions, respectively.
