Rain forces abandonment of two matches in the Major Clubs Limited Over Tournament 2024

The match between Tamil Union Cricket and Athletic Club and Sinhalese Sports Club was abandoned without a ball bowled.

Meanwhile, Ragama CC defeated Panadura Sports Club by three wickets after chasing down the target of 121 runs in 24.3 overs. The match was reduced to 25 overs due to rain.

The match between Chilaw Marians Cricket Club and Ace Capital Cricket Club was reduced to 29 overs. Ace Capital Cricket Club won the match by seven wickets after chasing down the target of 136 runs in 27.5 overs. Bloomfield chased down the target of 56 runs against Negombo and won the match by five wickets after the match was reduced to 20 overs.

Colts Cricket Club won the match against Kandy Customs Cricket Club by 72 runs after posting a total of 236 runs for the loss of six wickets. The match was reduced to 30 overs.

The clash between Badureliya Sports Club and Colombo Cricket Club was abandoned. Badureliya Sports Club were bundled out for 96 runs in 36.3 overs. Colombo Cricket Club scored 41 runs for the loss of three wickets in eight overs before the match was abandoned due to rain.
