MLC 2024 Most Runs and Wickets after Washington Freedom vs MI New York (Updated) ft. Steven Smith and Saurabh Netravalkar

Washington Freedom took on MI New York in the third match of Major League Cricket (MLC) 2024 and elected to bowl after winning the toss. MI lost their first two wickets for 28 runs. Ruben Clinton and Nicholas Pooran then provided some relief with a partnership of 25.

However, MI lost a few more wickets in the middle overs. Pooran finished with 44 off 30 deliveries, while Rashid Khan provided the finishing touch with his knock of 31 from 15 deliveries. MI posted a total of 154 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs. Saurabh Netravalkar and Justin Dill took three wickets each for Washington.

In reply, Washington lost their first wicket for just three runs. Steven Smith and Andries Gous then added 52 runs for the second wicket. Washington had 55 runs on the board for the loss of one wicket in 7.4 overs before the match was interrupted due to rain.

Washington were ahead of the DLS par score by four runs and won the match by the same margin. Smith remained unbeaten on 46 off 28 deliveries. Netravalkar won the Player of the Match award for his excellent bowling performance.

Nicholas Pooran has moved into first place from second on the most runs list in MLC 2024 with 106 runs in two matches at a strike rate of 158.20.

Unmukt Chand has slipped to second position from first; he made 68 off 45 deliveries in his first outing.

Devon Conway is still in third place after scoring 53 at a strike rate of 135.89 in the first match against LA Knight Riders.

Steven Smith jumped to the fourth position after remaining unbeaten on 46 off 28 deliveries against MI New York.

Shubham Ranjane has moved to fifth place from fourth with 35 in his first match.
