The schedule for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy was confirmed by the ICC earlier this week. The schedule was delayed owing to issues between the BCCI and the PCB. The multi-nation one-day tournament will be held from February 19 to March 9. While the competition will mainly be hosted across three venues in Pakistan, India will play their matches in Dubai in a hybrid model.

Eight top one-day teams will be part of the 2025 Champions Trophy and have been split into two groups of four each. Arch-rivals India and Pakistan are in Group A along with Bangladesh and New Zealand. Group B comprises Australia, England, South Africa, and Afghanistan. The two semifinals of the tournament will be held on March 4 and March 5, while the final will be played on March 9.

New Zealand's 2025 Champions Trophy campaign will begin with a clash against hosts Pakistan at the National Stadium in Karachi on February 19. This will also be the opening game of the tournament. The Kiwis will then take on Bangladesh at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on February 24. New Zealand's last group match will be against India at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on March 2.

The Kiwis decided to bowl first after winning the toss. They held the Men in Blue to 264-6 despite Sourav Ganguly's 117 and Sachin Tendulkar's 69. Chris Cairns then guided the chase with a memorable 102* off 113 balls as New Zealand got home in 49.4 overs. For India, Venkatesh Prasad's 3-27 went in vain.
