Kuldeep Yadav continued his impressive run in the 2024 T20 World Cup. The left-arm spinner was the pick of the bowlers in India's semifinal against England in Guyana on Thursday, June 27.

England won the toss and chose to field first. India registered 171/7 in 20 overs, courtesy of Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav's knocks of 57 and 47, respectively.

Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel ran riot in the 2024 T20 World Cup semifinals, picking up three wickets each. Skipper Rohit Sharma mentioned that it was challenging to counter the two spinners, especially in spin-friendly conditions.

Sharma also stated that he had asked Kuldeep and Axar to attack the stumps. Speaking at the post-match presentation, he said:

"When the conditions like that are in front of them, It's difficult to play some shots. The pressure is on them as well to come and execute those balls but they were calm and knew what to bowl. We had a little chat after the first innings - try and hit the stumps as much as possible, keep the stumps in play."
