"Out n about" - KL Rahul spends quality time with wife Athiya Shetty ahead of 4th BGT 2024-25 Test

Team India opener KL Rahul was recently seen spending quality time with his wife Athiya Shetty in a Melbourne restaurant. The Indian contingent landed in Melbourne a couple of days before to play the Boxing Day Test, scheduled to commence on December 26.

Rahul shared a few images from his day out with Athiya. Sharing the images on Instagram, he wrote:

"Out n about 🍭."

KL Rahul has been India's best batter in BGT 2024-25

The Karnataka cricketer has reinvented himself as a Test player in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy. He was not even a sure-shot starter heading to Australia for the all-important five-match series.

With Rohit Sharma missing the first Test due to personal reasons, Rahul was asked to pair up with Yashasvi Jaiswal at the top. And the right-hander clicked immediately with significant scores.

Rahul scored 26 in his first innings in Perth and followed it with a gritty 77 in the second essay, setting India's 295-run victory. He returned with 44 runs across both innings in the second Test in Adelaide, where the hosts secured a 10-wicket win.

The 32-year-old batter was back to his best with a resilient 84 in the first innings. He is currently India's highest scorer with 235 runs at an average of 47.

With the series tied at 1-1, KL Rahul will look to continue his form in the Melbourne Test. However, he has reportedly copped a blow in the right arm while batting in the nets. Although Rahul didn't look in discomfort, physios were seen attending to him outside the nets.
