The question was for ₹6,40,000. Amitabh Bachchan asked which team became the first to score more than 500 runs on the first day of a Test match back in the year 2022. He gave four options - India, Australia, New Zealand and England.

The correct answer to this question is England. On December 1, 2022, England scored 506/4 on the first day of the Test match against Pakistan at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. They became the first team to score more than 500 runs on the opening day of any Test match.

The contestant seemed to have good knowledge of cricket. He accurately recollected that four England batters scored a ton on that day and helped the team score 506 runs against Pakistan at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Cricket questions have regularly been a part of KBC in season 16

KBC is one of the most popular shows in India, and in the ongoing season, there have been many instances of contestants being asked cricket-related questions. While some contestants have a great knowledge of the sport, others do not follow it regularly, thus ending up using a lifeline.

A few weeks ago, a contestant was asked who won the Emerging Player of the Year award in IPL 2024. Despite using the double dip lifeline, where he could give two answers, the contestant did not guess the right answer, which was Nitish Kumar Reddy.

Two days ago, another cricket question appeared on KBC. The host asked the contestant to name the bowler who bowled the final over for India in the 2024 T20 World Cup Final. He correctly answered by picking Hardik Pandya from the options.
