Indian captain Rohit Sharma is currently enjoying his family vacation. His wife Ritika Sajdeh dropped a picture from their trip to the USA last evening (July 17) on her Instagram story.

In the photo, Rohit posed with Ritika and their daughter Samaira. A stranger's face was also visible in the background, and Ritika hid it with a red heart emoji. The Sharma family donned spectacles and had a smile on their faces as they posed for the picture.

Ritika tagged her husband's official Instagram profile in the story as well. A popular X user shared the picture on his profile. You can see the picture here:

While the story posted by Ritika Sajdeh must have received thousands of views, the reshare by the X user has received 20,000 likes as well. Many fans opined that Rohit deserved the vacation after the hectic year that he has had so far.

BCCI Secretary Jay Shah has confirmed that although Rohit Sharma has retired from T20Is, he will continue to lead India in Tests and ODIs. He even mentioned that Sharma will lead the Indian team in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

It is pertinent to note that Sharma has not played any ODI matches since the 2023 ODI World Cup final against Australia. The Indian skipper skipped the away series against South Africa earlier this year. He will reportedly return to the ODI squad for the upcoming matches against Sri Lanka.

The squad announcement for the Sri Lanka tour is expected to take place tonight. It will be interesting to see if Sharma features in the squad or decides to take some rest. India vs Sri Lanka ODI series will start on August 2.
