Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya is currently enjoying a break from international cricket. During the break, he decided to take a selfie with his pet dog and post it on Instagram.
Pandya is quite active on social media platforms. He regularly posts updates about his life and engages with fans on Instagram. On January 10, the Baroda-born all-rounder uploaded a picture with his pet dog. It was a mirror selfie, with Pandya holding the phone and his dog sitting near him.
Sharing the picture on his official Instagram profile, Hardik Pandya wrote:
"Selfie buddy."
The picture has gone viral on Instagram, receiving almost 700,000 likes in just three hours. More than 4,000 fans have commented on the post as well. These numbers show how popular Hardik Pandya is on social media platforms.
Interestingly, former Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni was also spotted spending quality time with his pet dog during the off-season. On January 8, his daughter Ziva shared a video of the CSK legend using a brush comb on his pet dog.
What's next for Team India all-rounder Hardik Pandya?
Hardik Pandya has not played international cricket since the away series against South Africa last November. The Indian team traveled to Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series. However, Pandya has not played red-ball cricket for a while now.
He kept himself busy by representing Baroda in domestic cricket tournaments and participating in media events.
The Indian team will return to the T20I arena for the home series against England, starting January 22. It should not be a surprise if Hardik returns to the squad for that series. India will also host England for a three-match ODI series and then travel to UAE for the Champions Trophy 2025. Hardik is an integral part of the squad in the ODI format as well.
