Team India stalwart Virat Kohli extended a kind gesture towards a little kid by giving his autograph at the Perth Stadium during the first Test against Australia. The Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 Test series began on Friday (November 22) in Perth.
After leading India to their first-ever Test series win Down Under in 2018, Kohli is playing as a senior batter this time around.
An X user (@Farzan_Tweets) shared a photo on the social media platform to give fans a glimpse of Virat Kohli's activities off the field during the Perth Test. In it, the Indian stalwart could be seen giving an autograph to a kid wearing a Chennai Super Kings (CSK) jersey.

Virat Kohli did not have a great time with the bat in the first innings on Day 1 as he departed for 5 (12) after edging a sharp bouncer of Josh Hazlewood to Usman Khawaja at first slip. On a lively pitch, India got all out for 150 after choosing to bat first. Australian batters also found life difficult on the surface as they ended the day reeling at 67/7, still trailing by 83 runs.
"Form has unfriended him at the moment" - Aakash Chopra on Virat Kohli after his batting failure in 1st Test vs Australia in BGT 2024-25
Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra recently opined Virat Kohli was out of form following his batting failure in the first innings of the Perth Test against Australia and analyzing his numbers over the past few innings.
In a video on his YouTube channel, Chopra said:
"He has lost form. It's happened for the first time in seven years that he has scored less than 20 in five consecutive Test innings. The last time it happened was in 2017. This has been a very different story. Form has unfriended him at the moment."
He continued:
"He is looking slightly vulnerable. When a player of Virat's quality, like say Sir Vivian Richards, Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid or Brian Lara, comes to the ground, there is an aura of invincibility.
"The opposing team feels that they need to get him out at the start for 10-15 runs, or else he would hit so much that they won't be able to get him out at all. Kohli has enjoyed this for a very long time but, unfortunately, that aura is not being seen currently."
