The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) franchise purchased four players at the WPL 2025 auction held in Bengaluru on Sunday, December 15, 2024. Prema Rawat was the franchise's most expensive purchase at the mini-auction. The promising leg-spinner from Uttarakhand was bought by RCB for ₹1.2 crore.
Rawat came up with some good performances for Mussoorie Thunders in the inaugural Uttarakhand Premier League. Apart from Rawat, Bengaluru also purchased Joshitha VJ, Raghvi Bist and Jagravi Pawar for ₹10 lakh each.
A total of 19 players were sold at the WPL 2025 auction, five of them overseas, while the five franchises combined to spend a total of ₹9.05 crore.
Defending champions RCB released five players - Disha Kasat, Indrani Roy, Shraddha Pokarkar, Shubha Satheesh, and Simran Bahadur - ahead of the WPL 2025 auction. Having spent ₹11.75 crore on retentions, they headed into the auction with a purse of ₹3.25 and four slots available.
