Renuka Singh and Deepti Sharma rise to top 3 in latest ICC T20I rankings for bowlers

India’s Renuka Singh and Deepti Sharma made strides in the latest ICC women's T20I rankings for bowlers. Renuka bagged seven wickets in the 2024 Women’s T20 World Cup to improve two spots to third, while Deepti scalped four wickets to rise one place to share the same spot. The duo are now only behind table leader England’s Sophie Ecclestone and Sadia Iqbal of Pakistan.

Ecclestone bagged four wickets in three games to consolidate her No.1 spot, while Iqbal extended her lead with six wickets.

Other players in the top 10 were Australia’s speedster Megan Schutt (up four rungs to sixth), Proteas pacer Nonkululeko Mlaba (up six places to seventh). Schutt and Mlaba bagged eight and nine wickets in four matches, respectively.

Australia’s Ashleigh Gardner and England’s Sarah Glenn dropped three and two places to ninth and fifth, respectively.

Meanwhile, Australia’s Annabel Sutherland and New Zealand’s Melie Kerr rose seven and eight spots to 11th and 12th, respectively. Sutherland and Kerr have picked up seven and 10 wickets, respectively, in the ongoing tournament.


Danni Wyatt-Hodge makes significant move in latest ICC T20I rankings for batters

England’s Danni Wyatt-Hodge rose three spots to 15th in the latest ICC women's T20I rankings for batters after scoring 135 runs in three innings. Her teammate Nat Sciver-Brunt improved two rungs to the 16th spot. Australia’s Ellyse Perry is sharing the same spot after jumping six places. Perry and Brunt have amassed 101 and 50 runs in four and three matches, respectively, in the ongoing World Cup.

Other key movers were England’s Maia Bouchier (up three spots to 25th), Australia’s Phobe Litchfield (up nine rungs to 30th), and Pakistan captain Fatima Sana (up four places to 59th). Bouchier scored 93 runs in three innings, while Litchfield managed 42 in as many innings. Meanwhile, Sana managed 64 runs in three innings.

Among all-rounders, West Indies skipper Hayley Matthews consolidated her World No.1 status in the latest ICC T20I rankings. Kerr, South Africa’s Marizanne Kapp, and Sciver-Brunt rose one, one, and two places to second, sixth, and eighth, respectively. On the contrary, White Ferns captain Sophie Devine dropped two places to 11th.
