Young Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal produced another of his signature attacking knocks to help India win the fourth T20I against Zimbabwe in Harare on July 13. Chasing 153 for victory, the southpaw belted the hapless Zimbabwe bowling throughout his knock of 93 from 53 deliveries.

Jaiswal smashed 13 boundaries and two maximums to help India complete the run-chase in a mere 15.2 overs with all ten wickets to spare. With the win, India also completed a series victory by securing a 3-1 lead with a game remaining.

It was Jaiswal's sixth 50+ score and his second-highest T20I score in 19 outings. The youngster was part of India's 2024 T20 World Cup winning squad but did not feature in a single game.

However, his knock today boosted his T20I numbers to an average of 39.43 and a strike rate of 161.79.

It had fans on Twitter hailing Jaiswal as India's best next generations short-format superstar with the following reactions:

Fans continued their praise for the young opener with one saying:

"Yashasvi Jaiswal's T20I stats for India are indeed impressive! With 631 runs at a superb strike rate of 161.79 and several half-centuries plus a hundred, he's showcasing his dominance in the format."
"Jaiswal is truly the most consistent and well looking opener of india after Rohit-dhawan era," said a fan.
"Great innings by Jaiswal. Almost sealed the opening spot," a fan tweeted.

"Really enjoyed my batting today" - Yashasvi Jaiswal

Yashasvi Jaiswal was delighted with his knock of 93 in the fourth T20I against Zimbabwe and spoke about how he paced his innings. The 22-year-old raced to a half-century off only 29 deliveries to help India dominate the contest.

He also shared an unbeaten opening stand of 156 with skipper Shubman Gill, who scored a 39-ball 58*.

At the post-match presentation, Jaiswal said of his knock:

"I really enjoyed my batting today. I had my plans for different bowlers. The ball was coming on when it was new and as it got old, it was quite slow. I enjoyed batting with Shubman. Initially I was thinking to take on the bowlers and as the innings progressed, I thought how to build the innings and stay till the end."

Jaiswal was adjudged the Player of the Match for his brutal knock that had the Zimbabwe bowlers running for cover.

The young sensation will be in action in the series finale at the same venue tomorrow.
