Rohit Sharma returns to the team in the ongoing warm-up match against PMXI
After missing the first BGT Test, Rohit Sharma returned for the two-day warm-up game between India and PMXI. The first day of the match was washed out due to rain on Saturday, November 30.
On December 1, the game began as a 50-over contest. India won the toss and chose to bowl first, with Mohammed Siraj providing an early breakthrough by dismissing Matt Renshaw for five. However, rain interrupted play again in the sixth over, leading to a reduction in the game to 46 overs per side. Once play resumed, Akash Deep dismissed Jayden Goodwin for four.
Sam Konstas and Jack Clayton (40 off 52 balls) shared a solid partnership, adding 109 runs off 103 balls for the third wicket. Harshit Rana was outstanding, claiming four wickets as PMXI collapsed from 131 for three to 138 for seven. Despite the collapse, Konstas reached his century off 90 balls.
At the time of writing, PMXI were 201 for seven after 37 overs, with Konstas (105) and Hanno Jacobs (35) at the crease.
