Team India skipper, Rohit Sharma, batting ace Virat Kohli and speedster Jasprit Bumrah could reportedly miss the upcoming ODI series against England, which will take place in February ahead of the Champions Trophy. The ODI series begins on February 6.
At the moment, Rohit Sharma is leading the Test side in Australia in the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy. The skipper is having a torrid time with the bat and is on a bad run of form.
Virat Kohli is also having a slump, with the batter recording three single-digit scores in the last five innings he has played. Jasprit Bumrah, who has 29 wickets to his name in the series so far, is serving as the deputy to Rohit Sharma.
As per a report from Sports Tak, Jasprit Bumrah will be rested to manage his workload ahead of the 2025 Champions Trophy.
Additionally, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will be taking leave, with doubts over the duo's participation in the upcoming edition of the tournament. A final call on the squad will be taken by the selection committee.

The two-time Champions Trophy winners will play their tournament opener on February 20 against Bangladesh followed by their second game against Pakistan on February 23.
