Glamorgan emerged victorious in the first game of the day, securing a 27-run victory over Gloucestershire. Yorkshire won the seventh encounter of the tournament by a margin of 25 runs against Surrey.
Worcestershire secured a commanding 183-run victory over Middlesex on Wednesday in their tournament opener. That puts them atop the Group A standings with two points and a net run rate of +3.813. Durham are right behind Worcestershire in the standings with two points and a net run rate of +1.140 after defeating Lancashire by 57 runs in the second match of the tournament.
Derbyshire occupy the third position with one victory, two points, and a net run rate of +0.149. Having lost to Derbyshire, Durham, and Worcestershire, the fourth, fifth, and sixth places in Group A are occupied by Northamptonshire, Lancashire, and Middlesex, respectively.
The remaining Group A teams, Hampshire, Kent, and Somerset, are yet to play a game this season.

Leicestershire are atop Group B with two points after their win against Nottinghamshire. They have a net run rate of +1.071. Glamorgan, Yorkshire, and Warwickshire have all won their respective first games of the season, and they occupy the second, third, and fourth places with net run rates of +0.818, +0.758, and +0.401, respectively.

Essex, Surrey, Gloucestershire, and Nottinghamshire are all on zero points after their first games and have net run rates of -0.401,-0.758,-0.818, and -1.071, respectively. They occupy the fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth places, respectively.
Glamorgan and Yorkshire win their respective One Day Cup encounters
Gloucestershire elected to field first in the sixth match of the 2024 Royal One Day Cup. Glamorgan set a total of 187/8 in 33 overs of the game. Skipper Kiran Carlson (32 off 34), Billy Root (29 off 28), and Ben Kellaway (65* off 60) were the primary contributors for Glamorgan. Dominic Goodman took three while Ajeet Singh Dale scalped two wickets for Gloucestershire.
A scintillating 86 off 79 deliveries from Gloucestershire batter James Bracey wasn't enough as they fell short of their target by 27 runs. Dan Douthwaite (4/25) and Andy Gorvin (3/32) were the highest wicket-takers for Glamorgan.
In the second match of the day, Yorkshire scored 240/6 against Surrey in their designated 33 overs as opener William Luxton (83 off 79) and middle-order batter George Hill (51 off 38) top-scored for them. The innings was rounded off by a quick-fire 36* off 15 deliveries by Matthew Revis.
The Yorkshire bowling duo of Dominic Leach (3/48) and George Hill (3/41) restricted Surrey to 222/9 in 33 overs, helping their side win the game by a margin of 25 runs (via D/L method).
