The Sher-e-Punjab T20 2024 hosted two matches on Tuesday, June 12. Trident Stallions locked horns with JK Super Strikers in the first match while Royal Phantoms squared against Agri King's Knights in the following game at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium.
The Stallions won the toss and invited Strikers to bat first. Karthik Sharma scored a crucial 51 off just 33 deliveries to put the Strikers in a strong position. However, the bowling attack led by Brar ran riot in the middle order of the Strikers. Brar finished with excellent figures of 4/20 while Sahil Sharma and Ramandeep Singh made two scalps each. Shahbaz Singh Sandhuhas added a crucial 44 as they managed to post 153 in the allotted 20 overs.
During the chase, opener Vihaan Malhotra’s 48 and Salil Arora's 48* allowed the Stallions to chase down the target with four balls to spare. For the Strikers, Sahil Khan claimed two wickets while Mayank Markande and Prerit Dutta bagged one each.
In the second game, Royal Phantoms won the toss and opted to bat first. Captain Anmolpreet Singh scored an unbeaten 55 off 43 deliveries as they managed to post a competitive total of 185 runs. His knock was studded with seven boundaries. Sohraab Dhaliwal also played a remarkable 12-ball 48-run knock. Ayush Goyal was the pick of bowlers from the Knights who claimed a three-wicket haul.
In the second innings, Prakash Singh Saini provided an early breakthrough for the Phantoms in the first over itself, dismissing captain Abhishek Sharma for a golden duck. Sukhdeep Bajwa later claimed a three-wicket haul. However, the Knights managed to chase down the target with three balls remaining.

Jashanpreet Singh-Sidhu is currently leading the runs chart with 105 runs in two games.
Harnoor Singh is in the second position, having accumulated 97 runs in two matches with a highest score of 54.
Mandeep Singh jumped to third place from fourth with 94 runs in two games at a strike rate of 167.86.
Naman Dhir has dropped to fourth place from third as he has only 78 runs in two games thus far.
Shahbaz Singh Sandhu has reached fifth place, having scored 77 runs in two matches. He has scored 44 against Trident Stallions.

Gurnoor Brar has jumped to the top position from second after claiming a three-wicket haul against JK Super Strikers. He has so far picked up nine wickets at an average of 6.11.
Kuljit Singh dropped to second position with seven wickets in two matches at an average of 7.57.
Ayush Goyal jumped to third from sixth with six wickets at an economy rate of 10.75.
Emanjot Singh Chahal has slipped to fourth place from third with five wickets in two games.
Sukhdeep Bajwa climbed to fifth place, having claimed five wickets in two games at an average of 14.80.
