"Speculations have caused immense pain to me" - Yuzvendra Chahal shares another post on social media amid scrutiny over his personal life

Team India leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal recently reacted to the speculation surrounding his personal life. The star cricketer posted a note on social media urging fans not to believe the rumors about his marriage to Dhanashree Verma.

Chahal stated that the assumptions have hurt him and his family. The 34-year-old also clarified that he doesn't seek sympathy from anyone and just wants love and support from fans.

It is worth mentioning that Chahal and Dhanashree have unfollowed each other on social media platform Instagram, leading to many fans believing that all may not be well between the couple.

Reacting to the recent developments, Chahal wrote on his Instagram story:

"I am grateful to all my fans for their unwavering love and support without which, I wouldn't have come this far. But this journey is far from OVER!!! As there are still many incredible OVERS left to deliver for my country, my team, and for my fans!!! While I am proud to be a sportsman, 1 am also a Son, a Brother, and a Friend. I understand the curiosity surrounding recent events, particularly about my personal life. However, I have noticed certain social media posts speculating on matters that may or may not be true."

"As a Son, a Brother and a Friend, I humbly request everyone not to indulge in these speculations, as they have caused immense pain to me and my family. My family values have taught me to always wish well for all, strive to achieve success through dedication and hard work, instead of taking shortcuts, and I remain committed to these values. With Divine Blessings, I shall forever strive to seek your love & support and not sympathy. Love all," he added.

Yuzvendra Chahal first crossed paths with Dhanashree Verma, a choreographer by profession, during the COVID-19 lockdown. He approached her for dance lessons and later proposed to her for marriage. The two tied the knot on December 22, 2020, at the Karma Lakelands resort in Gurugram.

Dhanashree Verma faced the brunt of fans after she unfollowed her husband Yuzvendra Chahal on Instagram. She was subjected to a lot of trolling on social media for the same.

She broke the silence on the separation rumors by slamming trolls for all the 'character assassination'. Dhanashree wrote in an Instagram story:

"The past few days have been incredibly tough for my family and me. What's truly upsetting is the baseless writing, devoid of fact-checking, and the character assassination of my reputation by faceless trolls spreading hate. I've worked hard for years to build my name and integrity."

"My silence is not a sign of weakness; but of strength. While negativity spreads easily online, it takes courage and compassion to uplift others. I choose to focus on my truth and move forward, holding onto my values. The truth stands tall without the need for justification. Om Namah Shivaay," she concluded.

This isn't the first time that Chahal and Dhanashree's relationship has grabbed headlines. There were reports of them heading for a split in 2022. However, the spinner quashed the rumors by asking people to stop speculating about his personal life.
