Zampa bagged a four-wicket haul in just three overs as Australia bundled out the Netherlands for a paltry score of 90. They clinched a massive 309-run victory, the biggest-ever margin in the tournament's history.

It is worth mentioning that this is Zampa's third consecutive four-wicket haul. The 31-year-old bagged four scalps against Sri Lanka and Pakistan in the previous two outings.

Pat Cummins and company registered an imposing 399-run total after electing to bat first. Opener David Warner scored 104 off 93 balls, while Glenn Maxwell hit the fastest-ever century (40 balls) in ODI World Cups, finishing with 106 runs in just 44 deliveries.

With 13 wickets from five games, Adam Zampa is currently the leading wicket-taker in the 2023 World Cup. Being the only frontline spinner in the 15-member roster, he has repaid the faith shown by the team management.

"We have changed him from right-arm leg-break to right-arm googly" - David Warner on Adam Zampa

Speaking during a post-match interview, David Warner revealed how the Australian players have started calling Adam Zampa a right-arm googly bowler of late.

Warner pointed out how Zampa was able to contribute significantly despite struggling with a back spasm. He said:

"Really proud of him, he had back spasms a couple of games ago, kept going out and going in. We have a running joke with him, we have changed him from right-arm legbreak to right-arm googly. We told him as well and had a laugh. Good to see him take wickets and great signs going into the New Zealand game."

While Australia continue to be fourth in the points table, their net run rate has seen a tremendous boost. Their net run rate has increased from -0.193 to 1.142 following their win over the Netherlands.
