India's T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav, along with his wife Devisha Shetty, was spotted seeking blessings at the Sai Baba Temple in Shirdi on Wednesday, January 8.
Suryakumar was recently seen in action during the 2024-25 Vijay Hazare Trophy, where he played five matches for Mumbai. However, the 34-year-old had a tough tournament, scoring only 38 runs across four innings, including two ducks.
Mumbai also failed to qualify for the quarterfinals, finishing third in Group B with 20 points after winning five out of their seven matches.
The explosive batter will return to action in the five-match T20I series against England, starting January 22 in Kolkata. Prior to the series, Suryakumar, along with his wife Devisha, visited the Sai Baba Temple in Shirdi to seek blessings.

Meanwhile, in early November 2024, Suryakumar led the Men in Blue to a commanding 3-1 victory in their four-match T20I series against South Africa. India currently hold the top spot in the ICC men's T20I rankings with 268 points, followed by Australia and England with 259 and 255 points, respectively.
Suryakumar Yadav is India's third-leading scorer in T20I cricket
Suryakumar Yadav made his India debut in a T20I against England in 2021 and has since established himself as one of the best in the shortest format of the game.
The right-handed batter has played 78 T20Is, scoring 2,570 runs at an average of 40.79, with 21 fifties and four centuries. He remains India’s third-highest run-scorer in T20Is, behind Rohit Sharma (4,231) and Virat Kohli (4,188).
He also played a key role in India’s success at the 2024 T20 World Cup, scoring 199 runs and taking the game-changing catch of David Miller in the final over. In addition, Suryakumar has featured in 37 ODIs, scoring 773 runs, and has also played one Test match for the country.
