London Spirit beat Oval Invincibles in the Eliminator at The Oval on Saturday, August 17 to march into the final of The Hundred Women’s 2024 season.
Winning the toss and electing to bowl first, London Spirit bowlers Charlie Dean (3-24) and Eva Gray (2-13) restricted the Oval Invincibles to 113-9 in 100 balls. Sarah Glenn and new-ball striker Danielle Gibson chipped in with two wickets each. For the Invincibles, Alice Capsey top-scored with a sluggish 30 off 33, while South African international Marizanne Kapp made a run-a-ball 26.
Captain and opening batter Lauren Winfield-Hill belted a 10-ball 17 at the top of the order during her partnerships with Paige Scholfield and Capsey. Laura Harris belted 16 off her first six deliveries before becoming the third of Charlie Dean’s three victims of the day.
In response, London Spirit needed just 91 balls to overhaul their 114-run target. Opener Georgia Redmayne cracked an unbeaten half-century (53* off 47) and also notched up the winning runs. Captain Heather Knight unleashed 36 aggressive runs at No. 4 after the successive dismissals of Meg Lanning (22) and Cordelia Griffith (1).

Trent Rockets’ Nat Sciver-Brunt remains the highest run-scorer of The Hundred Women’s 2024 season with more than 300 runs. London Spirit’s Heather Knight (247 runs) climbed to number two in the run-scoring charts after cracking 36* in the Eliminator.
They are followed by Dani Wyatt (227 runs), who is third. Alice Capsey has amassed 222 runs and is fourth, while Laura Wolvaardt with 215 runs is fifth.
Annabel Sutherland (212 runs), Marizanne Kapp (207 runs), Ellyse Perry (203 runs), Sterre Kalis (201 runs) and Deepti Sharma (196 runs) round out the top-10.
The Hundred Women's 2024 Most Wickets List
Northern Superchargers spinner Linsey Smith takes the top spot in The Hundred Women’s 2024 wicket-taking leaderboard with 15 wickets at an economy of 6.44. She leads second-placed Jess Jonassen has 12 wickets in seven games.
Marizanne Kapp, Hayley Matthews, Emily Arlott and Sarah Glenn take the subsequent four slots with 11 wickets each.
Annabel Sutherland, Freya Davies, Katie Levick and Ashleigh Gardner occupy the seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth positions respectively in the bowling charts with 10 wickets apiece.
