The Women’s Hundred 2024 season continued on Wednesday, July 24 with Southern Brave Women taking on London Spirit Women at the Rose Bowl in Southampton.
After being invited to bat first, Southern Brave openers Maia Bouchier and Danni Wyatt shared a 57-run stand from just 35 deliveries. While Bouchier smacked 35 from 21 balls, Wyatt listed a scintillating 35-ball 59 before falling to Erin Burns.
Captain Georgia Adams and Chloe Tryon struck identical 20s in the slog overs as Southern Brave raced to 151/6 by the completion of their innings. Among London Spirit bowlers, Erin Burns finished with figures of 2/6 while Eva Gray, Danielle Gibson, and Sophia Munro chipped in with a wicket each.
Chasing 152, London Spirit opener Georgia Redmayne clubbed a 31-ball 45. Meanwhile, senior partner Meg Lanning made a run-a-ball 12 before she was caught and bowled by Tilly Corteen-Coleman. As London Spirit slipped to 29/2, captain Heather Knight led from the front with an unbeaten 31-ball 65. She helped steer her team to an eight-wicket victory with three balls to spare.
The Hundred Women's 2024 Most Runs List
Oval Invincibles’ Paige Schofield continues to top the run-scoring charts of Women’s The Hundred with 71 runs. London Spirit captain Heather Knight climbed to number two on the top 10 list after her match-winning 65 against Southern Brave.
Danni Wyatt is ranked third with 59 runs while Alice Capsey is placed fourth with 52 runs to her name. They are followed by Georgia Redmayne (45 runs) and Maia Bouchier (35 runs) for the next two slots.
Georgia Adams and Amy Jones are ranked seventh and eighth with 21 runs each to their name. Chloe Tyron with 20 runs and Danielle Gibson with 18 runs occupy the final two slots on the top 10 charts.
The Hundred Women's 2024 Most Wickets List
Amanda-Jade Wellington remains the only player of the Women’s The Hundred 2024 season with three wickets to top the bowling charts. Erin Burns, Mady Villiers, and Emily Arlott take the next three slots with two wickets each in their season’s tally.
Ryana MacDonald-Gay, Eva Gray, Katie Levick, Marizanne Kapp, Sophia Smale and Charli Knott have one wicket each. They round up the remainder of the top 10 bowling listings in terms of highest wicket-takers.
