TNPL 2024 Most Runs and Most Wickets after Chepauk Super Gillies vs Dindigul Dragons (Updated) ft. Narayan Jagadeesan and Ravichandran Ashwin

The 12th match of the Tamil Nadu Premier League 2024 took place between Trichy Grand Cholas and Salem Spartans at SNR College Cricket Ground in Coimbatore on Sunday. A collective batting effort led to Trichy Grand Cholas posting a mammoth score of 198 runs for the loss of five wickets in the first innings.

Sanjay Yadav starred with the bat as he played a sensational knock of 68 runs in 33 balls. He received good support from Jafar Jamal, who contributed 32 of 23. For the Spartans, M Poiyamozhi was the pick of the bowlers as he claimed three wickets for 56 runs in four overs.

In pursuit of the target, the Salem Spartans kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Rajendran Vivek (33 off 10) and Muhammed Adnan Khan (40 off 31) impressed with the bat but failed to convert those into big knocks. In the end, they were bowled out for 163.

As for Trichy Grand Cholas, it was a collective bowling effort with the ball too. P Saravana Kumar was the pick of the bowlers as he claimed three for 28 runs in three overs. Besides, the likes of Antony Dhas and R Rajkumar claimed two wickets each as well.

Meanwhile, the second match of the day was played between Chepauk Super Gillies and Dindigul Dragons. Thanks to incessant rain, the match was shortened to seven overs per side.

Batting first, Dindigul Dragons posted 64 runs for the loss of seven wickets in seven overs. Skipper Ravichandran Ashwin top-scored with 45 off 20 balls. For Chepauk Super Gillies, Abhishek Tanwar and G Periyaswamy picked two wickets each.

In pursuit of the target, D Santhosh Kumar lost his wicket on the first ball of the innings. However, N Jagadeesan (32 off 14) and Baba Aparajith (31 off 14) ensured the team chased down the score without much trouble.

Balasubramaniam Sachin is at the top of the run charts with 169 runs under his name in three matches. R Sanjay Kumar is at the second spot with 152 runs, while Narayan Jagdeesan has climbed to the third spot in the run charts. He now has 149 runs in four matches. Meanwhile, R Kavin moves to the fourth spot with 145 runs under his name.

The fifth and sixth spots are occupied by Waseem Ahmed (115) and P Ranjan Paul (107), respectively. Tushar Raheja finds himself in the seventh spot with 104 runs, while Baba Aparajith is in eighth with 102 runs.

The bottom spots on the top 10 list are occupied by the likes of Rajendran Vivek (98) and Vishal Vaidhya (93), respectively.

K Easwaran is sitting at the top of the wickets chart with seven wickets to his name. Murugan Ashwin holds the second spot, while Abhishek Tanwar and M Poiyamozhi are at third and fourth positions, respectively. All three have seven wickets each to their name.

Sonu Yadav and G Periyaswamy are sitting in fifth and sixth positions, respectively. Both have six wickets each under their name. R Rajkumar is at seventh spot with five wickets, while M Shahrukh Khan finds himself at eighth with as many wickets. P Saravana Kumar is eighth in the list with as many wickets.

The bottom two positions in the top-10 wickets list are currently occupied by P Sarvana Kumar (5) and Daryl Ferrario (5).
