TNPL 2024: Top run-getters and wicket-takers after Lyca Kovai Kings vs IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans (Updated) ft. Tushar Raheja & K Easwaran

On Sunday, July 7, 2024, Nellai Royal Kings and Chepauk Super Gillies locked horns in the fourth Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) 2024 match while Lyca Kovai Kings and IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans met in the following game.

With Narayan Jagadeesan’s 63*, DB Santosh Kumar’s 41, Baba Aparajith’s 24, and C Andre Siddarth’s 17, Super Gillies had racked up 166 runs. Ragupathy Silambarasan picked up a three-wicket haul for the Royal Kings.

In reply, Kings opener Mokit Hariharan scored a fifty while Guruswamy Ajitesh added 30 runs. Later, Nidhish Rajagopal smashed a match-winning 53-run knock, guiding his side to a comfortable three-wicket win. Daryl Ferrario chipped in three wickets for the Gillies.

In the following game, Kovai Kings posted a 161-run target for the loss of seven wickets thanks to M Shahrukh Khan’s 55 (32) and Balasubramaniam Sachin’s 30 (24). T Natarajan and Ajith Ram picked up two wickets for IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans.

In reply, Tamizhans had put up a strong fight with Tushar Raheja’s 57-ball 81-run knock and Mohamed Ali's 35 off 20. However, their efforts went in vain as the side fell short by one run.

Balasubramaniyan Sachin of Lyca Kovai Kings is still first in the most runs leaderboard. He has smashed 93 in two games, including a 63-run knock.

Tushar Raheja of IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans struck an excellent 81-run knock on Sunday, featuring nine fours and two sixes, and occupied the second position.

Narayan Jagadeesan scored a 63-run unbeaten knock in the previous game and claimed the third position with 81 runs.

Shivam Singh of Dindigul Dragons dropped from the first to fourth, scoring 78 runs in his last game against Trichy Grand Chalos.

R Kavin of Salem Spartans moved from second to fifth position in the table with 70 runs, striking 155.55.

K Easwaran of IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans bagged a six-wicket haul in the previous game and topped the most wickets list.

Abhishek Tanwar retained his second position with four wickets while his teammate Daryl Ferrario moved to third after taking three wickets in his last game.

With three wickets each, Ravichandran Ashwin and Murugan Ashwin descended from third and fourth positions to fourth and fifth, respectively.
