Top End T20 Series 2024 Most Runs and Most Wickets after Australian Capital Territory vs Pakistan A (Updated) ft. Harry Manenti and Irfan Khan

The league stage of the Top End T20 Series 2024 concluded on Saturday, August 17 with a triple-header in Darwin.

Adelaide Strikers pummeled Australian Capital Territory with six overs to spare in the first match of the day. Chasing 135 to win at the Marrara Oval, number four batter Harry Manenti top-scored with 57* after Tim Oakley (2/23) and Tom O'Connell (2/17) had restricted the Australian Capital Territory to just 134/7 upfront.

Bangladesh A, or Bangladesh High Performance XI, overcame Perth Scorchers’ 129/5 off the back of a 13-ball 32* from Mahfuzur Rahman Rabby. Captain Akbar Ali also charted a near run-a-ball 33 to steer his team past the finishing line in the last over with three wickets in hand.

Earlier in the match, Bangladesh bowlers Ripon Mondol and Rakibul Hasan claimed two wickets each to negate Teague Wyllie’s run-a-ball 56.

In the final league match of the tournament, Pakistan Shaheens batted first and blasted 202/6 from 20 overs. Irfan Khan blazed his way to a boundary-laden 106 from 56 balls while unbeaten Haseebullah cracked 34-ball 49 from his end.

In response, Australian Capital Territory were bundled out for just 111 in 16.1 overs to fall 91 runs short of their target. Arif Yaqoob bagged four wickets while Arafat Minhas and Mubasir Khan collectively claimed five wickets.

Northern Territory’s D'Arcy Short finished the league stage of the Top End T20 2024 season as its highest run-getter with 258 runs. His is followed by Jake Doran (218 runs) and Liam Blackford (215 runs) as the only other batters of the season with more than 200 runs to their names.

Teague Wyllie with 184 runs and Harry Manenti with 178 runs take the subsequent two slots to round up the top five batting charts.

Baxter J Holt (172 runs), Parvez Hossain Emon (166 runs), Jishan Alam (150 runs), Jacob Dickman (148 runs) and Nicholas Davis (143 runs) occupy the bottom half of the season’s top 10 list of highest run-accumulators.

With 12 wickets, Esam Rahman remains the most successful bowler of the Top End T20 2024 season. With 10 wickets each, bowlers Reiley Mark, Ripon Mondol and Tim Oakley are ranked second, third and fourth in that order.

Matthew Kelly, Rakibul Hasan, Jahandad Khan and Hamish Martin take the subsequent four slots on the season’s top 10 wicket-taking list for taking nine scalps each. Matt Hennig and Raf McMillan take the final two positions for striking eight times in the tournament.
