Donald Trump's victory in the US elections sparked an MS Dhoni meme fest on Wednesday (November 6) on X (formerly known as Twitter). Fans have been posting an old photo of the duo from a Golf course and credited Dhoni for Trump's win with funny 'Thala for a reason' memes.
MS Dhoni played golf with the newly elected US president at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster during his visit to the country in 2023. At the time, a picture of them posing together went viral, and it is once again trending now.

MS Dhoni has been retained by CSK ahead of IPL 2025 mega-auction
Chennai Super Kings recently confirmed MS Dhoni's participation in IPL 2025 by retaining him ahead of the upcoming mega auction. Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ravindra Jadeja, Shivam Dube, and Matheesha Pathirana, who were the remaining four players, received hefty pay cheques. CSK retained Dhoni for just four crores in the uncapped players category.
At a recent promotional event for Rigi, Dhoni revealed that he desires to enjoy the last leg of his playing career, saying (as quoted by Times of India):
"I just want to enjoy whatever last few years of cricket I am able to play. In our childhood, we used to go out to play at 4pm and enjoy the game. But when you play professional sport, it becomes difficult to enjoy cricket, just like a game. It's not easy. The emotions are there, commitments are there. I want to enjoy the game for the next few years."
On his routine during the off-season to stay fit for IPL, Dhoni added:
"I've kept it very simple. I'll train for 15, 20, 25 days and then take off for 15-20 days, so it really helps me be in the groove. I can enjoy the food that I want to eat. Once I start training, I follow a good diet, I won't say an excellent diet. That's what keeps me busy."
