Former Australia swashbuckling opener David Warner has registered himself for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 draft after going unsold at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 auction in November last year. The PSL draft will be held in Balochistan on January 11.
PSL’s upcoming season will coincide with IPL 2025, usually played from mid-March till the end of May. The PSL 2025 season will be played from April 8 to May 9.

“ENDING 2024 ON A HIGH. The Aussie powerhouse David Warner has registered for PSLDraft!”
Take a look:
Warner had registered himself for INR 2 crore but didn’t get any bids from the 10 IPL franchises. This came after he managed just 168 runs in eight games in the IPL 2024 season, including a solitary half-century for the Delhi Capitals.
He, however, finished as the leading run-scorer among overseas players in the T20 league, amassing 6,565 runs in 184 matches with the help of four tons and 62 half-centuries. He also led the SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) to their maiden IPL trophy in 2016.
David Warner’s career in numbers as he heads to PSL
David Warner is Australia’s leading run-scorer in T20Is. The 38-year-old amassed 3,277 runs in 110 games at an average of 33.43 and strike rate of 142.47, comprising one century and 28 fifties.
Across formats, he amassed 18,995 runs in 383 games, hitting 49 centuries and 98 half-centuries. He was only behind legendary skipper Ricky Ponting, who scored 27368 runs, the most for Australia in internationals.
Warner's last international appearance came at the 2024 T20 World Cup, where the Aussies exited in the semifinal. He has won three World Cup trophies – the 2015 ODI World Cup, the 2023 ODI World Cup, and the 2021 T20 World Cup.
In T20s, Warner has 12,540 runs in 389 matches at a strike rate of 140.15, including eight tons and 105 half-centuries.
David Warner has been part of the commentary panel for the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2024-25 between India and Australia. The southpaw is currently leading Sydney Thunder after the leadership ban was overturned by Cricket Australia earlier this year. He smacked an unbeaten 86 against Melbourne Renegades in his last outing on Monday, December 30.
