UPW Retention List WPL 2025: Full list of players retained by UP Warriorz, Price Tags in INR and Purse remaining

The UP Warriorz have retained a total of 15 players for the upcoming Women's Premier League (WPL) 2025. The franchise announced their retention list on Thursday, November 7, and they will head to the auction with a purse of ₹3.9 crore.

The UP Warriorz had a decent first season, finishing third in the points table out of the five teams. They lost to eventual champions Mumbai Indians by 72 runs in the Eliminator. The Alyssa Healy-led side failed to make the top 3 earlier this year. With three wins out of eight matches, UPW finished second from bottom.

Skipper Alyssa Healy, Chamari Athapaththu, Grace Harris, Tahlia McGrath and Sophie Ecclestone are the overseas players retained by UPW ahead of WPL 2025. Among the marquee Indians are, all-rounder Deepti Sharma, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Uma Chetry and Kiran Navgire.

UPW purse for WPL 2025 Auction

The UP-based franchise has released a total of four players namely, Laxmi Yadav, Parshavi Chopra, S Yashasri and overseas pacer Lauren Bell. Danni Wyatt has been traded to defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru for ₹30 lakh. This leaves UPW with a total purse of ₹3.9 crore.
