Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Vidarbha, and Baroda emerged as the leaders of their respective groups. The preliminary stage is set to commence on Thursday, January 9, with Haryana facing Bengal and Rajasthan competing against Tamil Nadu.

Gujarat table toppers in thrilling tournament finish
Gujarat secured a commanding 100-run victory over Odisha, bowling them out for 152. Contributions from Urvil Patel (45 off 31), Hemang Patel (48 off 55), and a vital 40 off 56 by Ravi Bishnoi helped Gujarat set a competitive total of 252.
Bishnoi’s all-round performance, which included four crucial wickets, played a pivotal role in Gujarat’s triumph. Chintan Gaja also made an impact, claiming three wickets to dismantle Odisha’s batting lineup. Gujarat now leads the Group A table with 28 points and a net run rate (NRR) of 2.853.
Haryana maintained their second-place standing with 24 points and an NRR of 0.775 following their victory over Manipur. Despite an unbeaten 101 by Rex Rajkumar which guided Manipur to a target of 210, Haryana successfully chased down the total.
Jharkhand occupies the third position with 16 points and an NRR of 0.867 after a 30-run win against Goa. Utkarsh Singh’s impressive 102, supported by Kumar Kushagra’s 78, propelled Jharkhand to a total of 320/7.
In response, Goa faced early setbacks but Darshan Misal’s remarkable 151 off 111 kept their hopes alive. However, regular wickets ultimately cost them the game. In another fixture, Assam clinched a six-wicket victory over Uttarakhand in a high-scoring chase of 310.
Maharashtra fall short in the last game but clinch top spot
Maharashtra concluded their group stage with a 32-run defeat to Railways, driven by Purnank Tyagi’s exceptional five-wicket haul, which restricted Maharashtra to 252. This decisive performance secured the victory for Railways.
Rajasthan also fell short, losing to Sikkim by six runs. Despite the loss, Rajasthan maintained an NRR of 1.349 and finished with 20 points, preventing Railways from surpassing them.
Railways, despite their victory over Maharashtra, ended in third place with an NRR of 0.856. Andhra and Himachal Pradesh both secured 16 points, with NRRs of 1.115 and 0.649, respectively. Himachal’s win was anchored by Ankit Kalsi’s outstanding 100 off 126 balls, guiding the team to successfully chase a target of 197.
Services and Sikkim wrapped up their campaigns with eight points each, registering NRRs of -0.510 and -1.395. Services triumphed over Meghalaya by seven wickets while Sikkim secured a six-wicket victory against Rajasthan.
Meghalaya ended the tournament winless, bowled out for just 82 in their final match. Services chased down the target in 17.2 overs, with Arun Bawal earning the Player of the Match award for his impressive spell of three wickets for 10 runs.
Punjab's NRR denies them top spot in thrilling race
Karnataka secured the top spot on the Group C table with a dominant nine-wicket victory over Nagaland, bringing their points tally to 24 – equaling Punjab but surpassing them with a superior net run rate (NRR) of 2.393 compared to Punjab’s 1.401.
Karnataka’s run chase left Nagaland overwhelmed, thanks to an unbeaten 198-run partnership between Mayank Agarwal (116 off 119) and Aneesh KV (82 off 95), which dismantled the opposition’s bowling attack.
Punjab, batting first, posted a commanding total of 338/9, with half-centuries from Abhishek Sharma, Anmolpreet Singh, Nehal Wadhera, Naman Dhir, and Anmol Malhotra. Their bowlers, led by Arshdeep Singh (4/19) and Raghu Sharma (4/37), delivered an equally impressive performance, restricting the opposition to just 171.
Mumbai sits in third place with 20 points and an NRR of 2.114 after a five-wicket win over Saurashtra. Suryansh Shegde showcased his bowling prowess, taking four crucial wickets. Ayush Mhatre’s stellar 148 off 93 balls anchored Mumbai’s chase, ensuring victory.
Meanwhile, Hyderabad comfortably defeated Arunachal Pradesh by eight wickets. Arunachal was bowled out for just 96, with Tanay Thyagarajan leading the attack with a five-wicket haul, supported by Aniket Reddy’s four-wicket spell. Hyderabad’s NRR now stands at 0.516.
Vidarbha, Tamil Nadu and Chandigarh clinch victories in Group D
Vidarbha secured a dominant 10-wicket victory over Mizoram, who were bowled out for just 72, courtesy of Harsh Dubey’s impressive spell of 4/20. Apoorv Wankhade’s explosive 50 off 30 balls ensured Vidarbha chased down the target in just 8.5 overs. Vidarbha now holds 24 points with a net run rate (NRR) of 2.071.
Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu registered a 73-run win over Chhattisgarh while defending a total of 301. Vijay Shankar (71 off 57) and Baba Indrajith (75 off 68) delivered crucial contributions with the bat, propelling Tamil Nadu to a strong total.
Despite a solid start by Chhattisgarh, led by Ashutosh Singh’s 71 off 80, regular wickets derailed their chase. Chandigarh successfully chased down a target of 285, with openers Manan Vohra (107 off 104) and Tushar Joshi (131 off 109) scoring brilliant centuries to seal the win.
Tamil Nadu finished second in the table with 18 points and an NRR of 2.486. Uttar Pradesh follows with 14 points and an NRR of 0.262 while Chandigarh and Chhattisgarh ended the stage with 10 points, with NRRs of 0.485 and -1.122, respectively.
Baroda and Bengal secure playoff spots in exciting finish
Baroda secured a five-wicket victory over Delhi, successfully chasing a target of 180. Krunal Pandya’s all-round performance, which included two wickets and a crucial 35 runs, earned him the Player of the Match award. Baroda now stands at 20 points.
In another fixture, Madhya Pradesh faced Bengal, who posted a total of 269/7, with Sudip Gharami narrowly missing a century, scoring 99 off 125 balls. Madhya Pradesh’s chase was anchored by Shubham Shyamsunder Sharma (99 off 104) and Rajat Patidar (132 off 137).
Their contributions guided Madhya Pradesh to victory by six wickets with 22 balls remaining. Bengal are to face Haryana in the prelims after they finish second in the table despite their loss against Madhya Pradesh.
