Indian cricketer Virat Kohli was spotted at the iconic Gateway of India on Tuesday, January 14, after returning from Alibaug. The Delhi-born cricketer had been seen with his actress wife, Anushka Sharma, on Sunday, January 12, as they made their way to their farmhouse.

However, Anushka was seen returning alone on Monday, January 13. Kohli returned on Tuesday, January 14, and was greeted by a large crowd of fans at the Gateway, who eagerly captured photos as they caught a glimpse of the former Indian captain.

Meanwhile, the 36-year-old had a challenging 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) campaign Down Under. Kohli started strong, smashing an unbeaten century in the first Test at Perth, leading India to a dominant 295-run victory. However, things took a downturn from the second Test onward, with India suffering a 10-wicket loss. Australia then dominated the series, winning 3-1.

Kohli also had a disappointing series, managing just 190 runs in nine innings at a modest average of 23.75. Along with the series defeat, India's loss meant they failed to secure a spot in the World Test Championship final (WTC) for the first time.

The right-handed batter is expected to return to action in the upcoming three-match ODI series against England, starting February 6 in Nagpur.

Virat Kohli is India's second-highest run-scorer in ODIs

After a disappointing performance in the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Virat Kohli will look to regain form in the limited-overs format, where he has an impressive track record. Following India's three-match ODI series against England, they will focus on the prestigious 2025 ICC Champions Trophy, where they are placed in Group A alongside Pakistan, Bangladesh, and New Zealand.

For India to perform well in the tournament, they will be hoping for a strong showing from Kohli. The 36-year-old is India's second-highest run-scorer in ODIs, with a remarkable 13,906 runs in 295 matches, averaging 58.18, along with 72 fifties and a record 50 centuries.
