Virat Kohli spotted at Mumbai airport days after BGT 2024-25 [Watch]

Former India captain Virat Kohli was spotted at Mumbai’s Kalina airport, just days after the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia, on Friday, January 10. It can’t be confirmed whether the senior batter was leaving for his current residence in London, the UK.

The video surfaced several hours after Kohli was seen visiting Premanand Maharaj alongside his wife Anushka Sharma and their kids, Vamika and Akaay, in Vrindavan. In a clip shared by Viral Bhayani on Instagram, Kohli can be seen entering a car. Watch below:

The couple have been often spotted in the UK over the last 12 months. During IPL 2024, Kohli talked about how he was unable to walk around as a common man in Indian streets owing to his celebrity status. He told Star Sports:

"If I could, I would not take a car, nor a scooty, I would just walk. I have not walked once in India (in recent times), and that is something that I miss so badly. In West Delhi, our go-to-market was Jwala Heri, I would go there regularly.”

“If I get a chance, I would just walk around without anyone bothering me. I would eat something, buy something, I don't even remember when was the last time I walked on a road in India,” he added.

On the professional front, Virat Kohli is going through a rough patch with the bat. The right-handed batter amassed 190 runs, averaging 23.75, despite scoring an unbeaten 100 in Perth, in the recently concluded BGT. The 36-year-old has been under fire for his similar caught-behind dismissals while playing outside off throughout the five-game Test series Down Under.

Virat Kohli’s childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma recently said the cricketer will permanently shift to London. He said (via Business Standard):

“Yes, Virat plans to move to London with his children and wife, Anushka Sharma. The move is expected very soon, although he remains focused on his cricketing commitments for now.”

Kohli is likely to next be seen in the three-match ODI series against England ahead of the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy in February.
