Close to 100,000 people sang 'Vande Mataram' after the Indian team defeated Pakistan in the 2023 World Cup match at the Narendra Modi Stadium. The in-house DJ played the Indian national song, and almost everyone present in the stadium started singing along.
Former Indian captain MS Dhoni once mentioned that while he does not get goosebumps generally, he experienced something close to it when the fans at the Wankhede Stadium started to sing 'Vande Mataram' during the 2011 World Cup final.
Fans and players at the Narendra Modi Stadium would have experienced goosebumps on Saturday, October 14, when the Indian national song played. The fans watching on TV loved it as well.

While the stadium was jam-packed for the majority of the India vs Pakistan match, a few fans started to leave the venue early after knowing that India was going to win. However, most of the fans stayed back until the last ball and experienced a moment of a lifetime.
