The Deccan Gladiators clinched the 2024 Abu Dhabi T10 League title defeating the Morrisville Samp Army in the final held at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Monday, December 2. It was the third Abu Dhabi T10 League crown for the Gladiators, who also won the 2021-22 and 2022 editions of the tournament.
While they overcame the Delhi Bulls in the final of season five by 56 runs, the Deccan Gladiators defeated the New York Strikers by 37 runs in the following season's summit clash and successfully defended their title. Tom Kohler-Cadmore, who amassed an unbeaten half-century in the final, topped the 2024 Abu Dhabi T10 League batting charts having registered 278 runs in nine innings.
Player of the final, 37-year-old right-arm fast-medium bowler Richard Gleeson ended up as the highest wicket-taker with 14 wickets under his belt. Meanwhile, Jos Buttler was adjudged Player of the Tournament for his exploits with the bat. He scored 242 runs at a strike rate of 224.07 comprising 22 sixes.
With the scores level in the final, Buttler finished it off in style by smashing a six off leg-spinner Qais Ahmad to seal the third Abu Dhabi T10 league title for his team.

A comfortable victory in the final for the Deccan Gladiators
Earlier in the final, Deccan Gladiators skipper Nicholas Pooran won the toss and opted to bowl first. Put into bat, the Morrisville Samp Army managed 104-7 in their 10 overs. Opener Faf du Plessis top scored for them with a 23-ball 34-run knock which included five fours and a six.
Richard Gleeson was the pick of the bowlers for Pooran's men as he finished with figures of 2-16 in two overs. Needing 105 runs for victory, the Gladiators chased down the target comfortably in just 6.5 overs, winning the contest by eight wickets with 19 balls to spare.
