Australian all-rounder Ellyse Perry looked all at sea as she got run out by wicketkeeper Izzy Gaze in the second T20I against New Zealand at the Great Barrier Reef Arena in Mackay on Sunday, September 22. The right-handed batter departed despite getting well set at the crease, scoring 34 runs off 33 balls with the aid of four boundaries.
The dismissal came in the 12th over of Australia’s innings. Amelia Kerr bowled a full toss outside the leg stump and Perry went for a sweep shot and failed to sight the ball while moving forward. Wicketkeeper Gaze collected the ball and dislodged the stumps and there was no chance for Perry to come back inside the crease.
