Glenn Maxwell is having the time of his life in the ongoing 2023 World Cup match between Australia and Netherlands on October 25. The Aussie all-rounder first set a record for the fastest ton in ODI World Cup history, and then in the second innings, he dismissed Vikramjit Singh with a laser throw.
On the fifth ball of the sixth over in Netherlands' innings, Vikramjit Singh pushed a ball from Josh Hazlewood towards the off-side. Maxwell was standing in the mid-off region. He quickly collected the ball and fired it towards the non-striker's end.
Maxwell's throw hit the bull's eye and caught Vikramjit Singh short of his crease. Singh had to depart to the dressing room after a 25-ball 25.

Singh looked in great touch at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. The left-handed opener hit six fours for the Netherlands team before Maxwell dismissed him via a run-out in the sixth over.
Netherlands struggling to score the runs scored by Glenn Maxwell alone
Maxwell blew away the Netherlands bowling attack in the first innings by hitting 106 runs off just 44 balls. His innings lasted 53 minutes, where he smacked nine fours and eight sixes. The all-rounder got caught out in the final over of the innings. His whirlwind knock powered Australia to 399/8 in 50 overs.
Chasing 400 for a win, the Netherlands have crumbled to 86/7 in the 19th over. After Vikramjit Singh's dismissal, the Dutch team has lost wickets at regular intervals, and they still need 20 more runs to match the score of Maxwell in today's match.
Netherlands still need 314 runs in less than 32 overs to record a win against Australia. It seems highly unlikely that the Dutch team will win this game. You can follow the live scorecard of this match right here.
