India's 2024 T20 World Cup stars Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Axar Patel, Arshdeep Singh, and Shivam Dube had fun during their recent appearance on Kapil Sharma's comedy show. In one of the viral clips from the episode featuring the cricketers, Rohit is seen pulling Dube's leg after the latter came up with a smart reply to a trick query on 'the better captain'.
Dube represents Chennai Super Kings (CSK), led by MS Dhoni till the 2023 IPL season. On the other hand, he has played under Rohit's leadership for the Men in Blue.
During a fun-filled interaction on the comedy show, host Kapil is seen asking the left-handed batter to pick between Dhoni and Rohit as the better captain. Put in a spot, the 31-year-old came with a sharp reply that impressed all. Even the 'Hitman' was amazed by the CSK batter's response and hilariously asked him if he had prepared the answer two days in advance.
Read below for details of how the funny conversation went.
Kapil: Shivam, you play for Dhoni's team in the IPL and under Rohit (for India). Which captain do you like more?
Rohit: Phas gaya (he is caught)
Suryakumar: Paaji, this is a very difficult question that you have asked
Kapil: Whom do you credit for coming into cricket?
Shivam: I credit my father for it. (Everyone laughing)
Shivam: Whichever team I am playing for, be it Chennai or India, at that time that particular captain is the best one for me.
Rohit: I think yeh.. jawab sochke aaya tha kya do din pehle? (Did you think about the answer two days back?)
